What an awesome place to stay! This is an incredibly well appointed propery. The views are endlessly amazing. It’s located in a gated community with a very private and peaceful location. Lots of birds and wildlife around. There is a full kitchen, comfortable king bed, indoor gas fireplace as well as a gas fire pit and hot tub. You can watch the ocean while in the massive rain head tiled shower! There are lots of things to do locally like beach combing, hiking and redwood trails. Plenty of good restaurants a short drive away. I’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

If you want to have a weekend, you will not forget, make sure you stay at Spindrift Vista! Scott and Patricia put meticulous thought into designing a special rental. They thought of everything, gas firepit, bbq, and a hot tub, with lots of privacy on the outside. Inside the house, full kitchen, king size bed, washer and dryer, and a fantastic walk in shower with rain fixture. With all that said, the best part, are the amazing views! I have already told most of my friends, but everyone looking for a relaxing or romantic weekend, should stay here!

The Spindrift Cottage is a gem! Incredible location, breathtaking views, plenty of beach access short drives away, hospitable hosts, pristine accommodation with everything you need and then some! This is definitely an upscale, well thought out get-away spot. The craftsmanship of the owners/builder is top notch and we felt pampered by all they offer! We would definitely recommend it and hope to return!

It would be hard to find a better place for a romantic getaway. The quality of the property is outstanding: top of the line appliances and very tasteful furniture and decoration, all brand new. The view of the rugged coastline and the city of Brookings is fantastic, and is visible from the living room, bedroom, and hot tub. The host is very competent and friendly.

A cottage with unforgettable views
The location of this modern and beautifully designed cottage is simply stunning. Whether you are sitting in the living room, lie down in the bedroom, sit in the hot tub or take a shower - the expansive view of the coastline will be with you. It is simply breathtaking. We hope to come back here again and make it our base for exploring the Oregon coastline hikes and the natural "cathedral" Redwood forests of northern California. What Scott and his wife have built on this land will always resonate with us as something that we would build for ourselves. Their house and cottage are rare examples of personal connection to the land, strong sense of good taste in architecture and most importantly the personal grit and dedication to design and build such a special place.

Where to start ! , the pictures don’t even do this place justice! Beautiful panorama of the coast line and a cozy atmosphere to wind down with your spouse. My wife and I loved the shower , and the comfortable king mattress provided. We had the best nights sleep during our stay. Scott was attentive , flexible and quick to respond with whatever questions I had. Loved the grill and being able to take in the views and sounds of our surroundings while cooking or kicking back in the hot tub Tons of things to do in the surrounding area, would definitely recommend Trees of mystery for whoever’s trying to get a real insight view of a different world ! Truly a gem and very well placed getaway, we will be back!

The home was incredible! so much more than we could have ever imagined. I can't believe the view and the location, it was next level and made us feel right at home. With the view, the hot tub, the little fireplace outside it just made everything perfect for our 5 year anniversary. When the home is so great you almost don't want to leave but instead sit back, relax and truly appreciate the little things. We will definitely be back in the future as Scott was a fantastic host and the location was breathtaking.

My sister and I had a great time in Smith River!! Scott’s place has an amazing view of the ocean and is very peaceful. There’s a great path to the beach at the end of the road. We walked for miles! The salt water jacuzzi was very nice and relaxing. Scott and his wife were very helpful and responsive when we had a question. We would highly recommend his place and plan to go back!

My recent 4-night stay at this Airbnb was nothing short of extraordinary. The location is absolutely stunning, boasting breathtaking coastal and mountain views that made our trip unforgettable. The bedroom was a highlight, offering an incredible view of the ocean and the best mattress I have ever slept on! The hot tub and shower were the icing on the cake, providing a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. Speaking of exploring, the area is packed with amazing trails and sights, making it the ideal base for our Pacific Coast adventure! Scott was there to greet us when we arrived and went over all the amenities of the house. He was great about giving us our privacy but was always available when we needed him. Overall, this Airbnb exceeded all expectations and provided the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and natural beauty. Scott was an excellent host and his place is out of this world, I saw he had availability for an extra day and if I could have cancelled my next place I would have. The house is done to an impeccable standard and the view is unbelievable. Scott also gave us really good recommendations for the local area. All in all, I’d happily move in tomorrow.

We decided to do a relaxing Thanksgiving getaway this year. It was perfect to do it at this cottage. Scott was very communicative and even met us when we arrived to walk through anything we had questions about. The space was a great layout and was cozy and spacious at the same time. It felt like a luxury cottage and the view is phenomenal. You can walk down to the beach (we did) but be prepared to get a leg/cardio workout on the walk back up the long driveway :) Definitely want to come back and explore more of the Redwoods and coastline.

This home checked a lot of boxes for us. A beautiful ocean view that you could even enjoy while sitting in the private hot tub. This was in a gated community that had three houses. it's literally 0.7 miles into California from Oregon. It's all newly built and beautiful. Everything worked perfectly and there were multiple options for lighting which we always appreciate. This was perfect for a weekend getaway with the husband. Scott lives right next door and was more the. accommodating to anything we may have needed.

Very beautiful, relaxing, and lovely cottage with all amenities for a peaceful getaway! Close enough to see the ocean on a clear night without being right next to the sandy beach tracking sands all over the place. Will definitely go back again!

One of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had. Gorgeous location and beautifully appointed home. Everything is comfortable: chairs, bed, sofa. Great hot tub with views of the Pacific. Quick drive to Redwoods and the Samuel Boardman scenic coast. Kitchen has everything you need to cook real meals. Host was fantastic. Can’t recommend highly enough.

What a great place to stay. Conveniently located between Crescent City & Brookings. Private gated road created a quiet safe space for us to leave the world behind for a few days while soaking up the sun and panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean from every room.
